We were approached recently by a business professional who, together with his business partner, had come up with a concept to create a “newspaper” website full of up-to-date news headlines, political opinion, financial news plus day-to-day newsworthy items. They had started to build a bespoke site with a developer who disappeared half way through the project, due to personal reasons. This left our client with an unfinished website and nowhere to go.
Fortuitously we met, and we were able to help and offer them the perfect solution which was to build this site using the popular blogging platform, WordPress, (of which we specialise). WordPress enables multi-user access to add and edit posts on a daily basis thereby putting the user in complete control and giving them as much flexibility as they needed. WordPress blogs are indexed very quickly with Google and so as a result, the search engines picked up the website very quickly.
The site was launched in November 2009. Google has since approved the site to be included in their searches for news source.
