A common question is - Shall I book a .com or .co.uk if they're both available?  The answer is simple.  A .com is the primary domain for the majority of businesses, however a co.uk is the best domain to use if your business is purely based in the UK.  Users will then know that they're dealing with a UK based company. It is your choice as to which domains to register but it is always a good idea to purchase the primary domain even if you do not use it right away.
